🚑 Seek urgent care if:
  • High or persistent fever, facial pain or swelling around the eyes/cheeks, difficulty breathing, a stiff neck, or symptoms that worsen after initially improving.
    → Seek medical evaluation promptly.
Classical understanding
  • Attributed to aggravated kapha and vata in the nasal passages, often with a seasonal or exposure trigger.
General self-care (safe for most)
  • Rest, warm fluids and steam inhalation; keep warm and avoid cold, damp exposure; light warm food supports recovery.
A cold with high fever, facial pain, breathing difficulty or a stiff neck should be seen by a physician.
