🚑 Seek urgent care if:
- Any bleeding after menopause (12 months with no periods), unusually heavy or prolonged bleeding, or bleeding after intercourse.→ See a doctor promptly — post-menopausal bleeding always needs assessment.
Classical understanding
- Rajonivṛtti — the natural end of menstruation around midlife — is understood as a vāta-predominant transition, with attention to grounding routine, nourishment and calm to ease its changes.
General self-care (safe for most)
- A steady routine, nourishing warm food, weight-bearing and gentle movement for bones, cooling calm practices for hot flushes, and good sleep all help this natural transition.
Menopause and any post-menopausal bleeding should be discussed with a doctor; Ayurvedic measures here are supportive and educational only.
